However, it can take a while to find what you need. The UN Documentation Research Guide (www.un.org/Depts/dhl/resguide/) This is a great place to start if you have never researched on the UN website. It has very helpful links and advice on all official UN documents. The UN Documentation Centre (www.un.org/documents/index.html) This has useful links to documents from the UN's main committees. The General Assembly Page (www.un.org/ga/) This is the main site for the General Assembly. General Assembly Resolutions, by year (www.un.org/documents/resga.htm) This is a complete list of all GA resolutions. It is particularly helpful if you already know the resolution you are looking for. The Security Council Page (www.un.org/Docs/sc) This is the main site for the Security Council. It has news about Security Council activities, as well as the procedure and history. Security Council Resolutions, by year (www.un.org/Docs/sc/unsc_resolutions.html) If you find a reference to any Security Council resolution in any other documents, you can get the full text of the resolution from this link. The UN News Centre (www.un.org/News) This is the best place on the Internet for articles on current UN actions. It is a great source for unbiased information about conflicts and UN events. The UN Cartographic Section (www.un.org/Depts/Cartographic/english/htmain.htm) Maps of countries and regions are always a necessity for thorough research. This site has easy-to-access political maps of any country. |
